214 players took part in the bi-annual Inner West Chess Challenge 11, held on Tuesday 25th September at the Latvian Society Club in Strathfield. As usual, there was a wide variety of levels of the entrants, ranging from first-timers to seasoned competition players.
The tournament was won by Raymond Li, who was undefeated with a score of 7.5/8 points. Raymond defeated schoolmate Linus Cooper in the last round to overtake him, leaving Linus and 3 other players (William Tao, George Bai and William Yan) on 7 points.
A big thanks to all of our arbiters and canteen helpers on the day, who ran the tournament smoothly and without too many delays.
