Congratulations to all 58 teams (of 3 players) who participated in the NSW Interschool Girls' Teams Chess Challenge 2016!
We had a wide range of schools playing across 4 divisions, with a different school winning each division. Well done to these winning schools:
Open (Years 7-12) - Hornsby Girls' High School
Junior (Years 7-8) - James Ruse Agricultural High School
Primary (Years K-6) - Abbotsleigh Junior School
Rookies (Years K-4) - MLC Junior School
The tournament was played in a friendly atmosphere, and all of the girls represented their schools well, showing great chess skills as well as good sportsmanship.
Thankyou to all the wonderful parents and teachers who brought the students on the day - your support is what makes this unique event happen! We hope to see you all again next year!
